Kapil Mohan is a distinguished former IAS officer (Karnataka Cadre, 1990 batch) with over three decades of leadership experience in infrastructure, energy, housing, and urban development. He has held several senior positions including Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka and Director in the Ministry of Power, Government of India. His career spans the establishment of key institutions such as the India Smart Grid Forum, Karnataka Maritime Board, and Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority. An alumnus of Princeton University, he holds an MPP and a Certificate in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy. Widely recognized for his work in clean energy, public–private partnerships, and regulatory reforms, he is known for his visionary leadership and enduring contributions to sustainable development and governance.
